We have earned the reputation for being the best mental health care in the area for a reason, and it’s because we are very careful and selective with who we bring on to our team. Let us tell you who we’re looking for.
1. Qualifications: While we operate as one, we have two sub teams within Blueprint; our Client Relations Team and our Clinical Team.
For our Client Relations Team, first and foremost, we’re looking for someone who is invested in the field of mental health and genuinely enjoys working with and helping people. While you would think that would be obvious – you’d be surprised. An undergraduate degree in psychology or a human services related field, mixed with prior medical office experience – serious bonus points if mental health related experience – is a huge plus. This position is especially awesome for someone pursuing Graduate School in Mental Health.
For our Clinical Team, you must be a strong, confident licensed clinician – an LAC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT. We’re also open to art therapists and music therapists!
2. Personality: Keeping it simple, you must be someone who is genuinely easy to talk to and has a natural ability to connect with other people and work well on a treatment team. You can have all the credentials and certificates to fill a wall, but if you can’t connect with people and work well with people, then all those letters after your name don’t really mean that much. We are looking for someone who is a blend of both professional and super down to earth. Maybe with a questionable sense of humor to fit in.
3. Clinically Committed and Career Invested: We are looking for someone who truly wants a career with us, not a steppingstone or a side gig. With private practices hiring all over the place you can easily find a spot that you can be on your own island, seeing as many or as little clients as you please with minimal oversight or structure. If you’re looking for that, cool! That’s not us. We are a strong treatment team with a healthy structure, including weekly clinical rounds and monthly Clinical Advancement. We are looking for someone who genuinely wants to be the best therapist they can be, to constantly grow, wants to contribute to a real treatment team in an established private practice and sees their career evolving with us.
We put our heart and soul into building Blueprint to become what it is today. Part of what makes Blueprint so successful is the consistency to our clients stemming from a cohesive, dedicated, invested team. We are looking for team members that want to grow with us and build their career with Blueprint. We’re very proud to have minimal turnover at Blueprint and aim to continue that to provide consistent treatment services. Nothing sucks more when someone has connected with a therapist and then hear “I’m unfortunately going to be leaving the practice”.
We understand many people have the vision to build their own private practice. If you are looking to build your own practice, that is amazing and we support it! However, Blueprint is looking for employees and therapists who see working here as their future career and not a stepping stone. There are plenty of opportunities in Partial Cares/IOPS, or group practices, where it’s ok to build your own practice while working there. Unfortunately, building your own practice while working at Blueprint becomes a conflict of interest. That said, if your plan is to temporarily work at Blueprint while building up your practice, we’re not the place for you.
4. Dog Lover: Seriously, though. Charie and Toby are team members and are regularly at the practice alongside John and Michele. They invade personal space and behind the scenes they run the show. If you’re not a dog fan, you probably won’t like working at Blueprint.
So, let’s put this together. If you’re someone looking for an established private practice career, with a solid well-earned reputation for providing the highest quality of care, that provides structure, clinical support and growth, and that are honest and transparent with you about what to expect while working with us – then consider applying to Blueprint Mental Health.
To apply, send over an email to clientrelations@blueprintmentalhealth with the subject FUTURE TEAM MEMBER, and include your resume and what your Blueprint bio would read.
Can’t wait to meet you!
